by Lions Club of Dhaka Mohakhali Friends has distributed food and medicine to the helpless flood victims in Sylhet. On May 26, 2022, a relief distribution program was held among 200 flood-affected families in Companiganj upazila of Sylhet.
Floods started in Sylhet district on May 11 due to continuous heavy rains and hill slopes. As a result, 85 unions of 13 upazilas of Sylhet were inundated. As a result, trade and livelihood of the people are severely damaged. Low-income people suffer the most.
Lions Shaila Sabrin MJF, Lion M Miraz Hossain and Lion Khaleda Pervin Polly have organized this relief program among the distressed flood victims of Lions Club of Dhaka Mohakhali Friends Banavasi. At this time dry food: Chira, muri, molasses, biscuit, water, fever-cold-diarrhea medicine, soap, food saline and water purification tablets were distributed.
