Writer M Miraz Hossain has won the Best Fiction Writer Award at ‘Sahitya Padak and Gunijan Sammanana 2023’ for being one of the best-selling books at Amar Ekushey Book Fair. He was also awarded the Best Manuscript Award for his book ‘Byakhyatit’.
Jointly organised by Jatiya Kabita Mancho and Noboshahitto Prokashoni, the award ceremony was held at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in the capital on Thursday.
Noted poet Nirmalendu Goon, lyricist Aslam Sani, filmmaker Masud Pathik were present at the event with novelist Selina Hossain in the chair.
Miraz Hossain is a businessman and social activist. His autobiographical book ‘Apan Nama’ was published at Ekushey Book Fair 2022. The book became one of the best-sellers at the book fair. His fourth book ‘Tobu Ful Futuk’ was published in Ekushey Book Fair 2023.
Miraz Hossain got the Indira Gandhi Golden Award at the ‘Bharat Bangladesh Sahitya Sanskriti Utsav-2022’ ororganizedy India-Bangladesh Sahitya Sanskriti Parishad for his contribution to Bengali literature.
